【A】LUMINE EST

Boasting approximately 280 shops—over 230 of which offer tax-free shopping—LUMINE EST is abundant with “young casual” shops as well as misc. goods and men’s items. Situated under a minute’s walk from Shinjuku Station, location is only the beginning of its appeal. With the busy customer in mind, all four LUMINE locations are equipped to batch process your receipts in-store at their handy tax-free counters. 【B】LUMINE Shinjuku

Looking for an insight into the latest Japanese trends? Go where the young women of Tokyo go to check out this season’s fashion and misc. goods: LUMINE 1 and LUMINE 2. Also jointly known as LUMINE Shinjuku, these buildings are home to about 230 shops, with over 160 of them offering tax-free shopping. Conveniently located only one minute from Shinjuku Station’s south exit, it’s accessible via the JR, Odakyu, and Keio lines. These Hanafukin dish towels are our recommended item from LUMINE Shinjuku. Handy for wiping both dishes and tables, they’re available for purchase from YU NAKAGAWA (LUMINE 1, 5F), a shop specializing in misc. goods that combine Japanese tradition with modern designs.

【C】LUMINE Ikebukuro

Located at Ikebukuro Station’s west exit, you’ll find shops selling up-to-the-minute fashion, the latest cosmetics, and a floor dedicated solely to buffet-style restaurants—the largest of its kind in the Tokyo Metropolitan area. More than 100 of its 170 or so shops even offer tax-free shopping. Just exit from the JR Ikebukuro Station’s south ticket gates and you’ll see it on your right hand side. With around 125 shops, including over 100 that offer tax-free shopping, you’ll have the opportunity to experience the real trends of Tokyo here. It’s a 1 minute walk from the JR Yurakucho Station’s Ginza exit and even less from the Ginza Subway Station’s A0 exit.
