A Chic Tucked-Away Family Restaurant, “TOM&JERRY”
Daimyo, in Fukuoka Prefecture, is an area full of chic stores, and it’s popular with young patrons. It’s also home to a variety of reasonably priced restaurants.
This time, I’m visiting a chic Italian restaurant with a mature vibe.
After about a 5-minute walk from Akasaka Station, I arrived at “TOM&JERRY.”
This Italian restaurant primarily produces dishes featuring cheese fondue and A5-rank Saga beef.
It’s uncommon for chic café-like restaurants to serve high-grade meat like this!
The restaurant is tucked away on the 2nd floor of the building.
They also have a private room available, which is great for private functions like birthdays and celebrations with loved ones.
This time, I’m here for lunch. I heard you can get a delicious lunch here for around 800 yen.
It’s a laid-back restaurant, where even a lone girl can feel at ease.
I ordered the “Jerk Chicken Rice” for 918 yen.
This is a popular dish here, served with jerk chicken, Jamaican rice, and a fresh salad.
The jerk chicken was spicy. The Jamaican rice was peppery and spicy.
The chicken is marinated for over a day in an original sauce made from over 20 ingredients, including fruits and potherbs. Then, after it has absorbed all of the flavor, it’s baked in the oven.
The skin was crispy and aromatic, and the chicken was cooked to perfection! As to be expected from a restaurant known for its meat dishes!
TOM&JERRY was a comfortable restaurant for one so chic!
By the way, the restaurant’s A5-rank Saga lean steaks start at 1480 yen. That’s a really reasonable price, so next time I come I’d love to taste that high-quality meat!
Incidentally, the building’s 1st floor is a cat café called “Neko Café Keurig.”
A cute cat might greet you through the glass as you’re headed up to the 2nd floor for the restaurant!
