Visit a Restaurant Featuring Fabulous Views: Ginza Sky Lounge!
On a fine, sunny day, the best place to visit is a restaurant with a view! This article will introduce Ginza Sky Lounge, a restaurant offering sweeping views of Tokyo. I'd like to talk about the superb omelet rice I had for lunch there.
The Exterior and Interior of the Restaurant
At the top of Tokyo Kotsu Kaikan shopping mall, a large disk rotates. It was designed to make one full revolution every 80 minutes.
The restaurant is inside.
It is operated by Tokyo Kaikan, a well-established banquet hall in Marunouchi.
Since the seats are arranged along the windows, you can take in splendid scenery, no matter where you look.
The Menu
In addition to authentic French courses, they also prepare relatively reasonable offerings such as Hamburg steak and curry.
The Cuisine
I ordered the fluffy and tender chicken omelet rice in Bordelaise sauce (¥2000).
It came in a set with soup, salad, and coffee.
*Note: an extra service charge of 10% is added.
The Soup
The soup of the day was a pumpkin potage.
Although it was refreshing, I could also savor the deep flavor of the pumpkin.
The Salad
The Fluffy and Tender Chicken Omelet Rice in Bordelaise Sauce
Then, the chicken omelet rice made its appearance. This dish is often shown on TV in Japan.
Looking like this, it didn't appear to be very fluffy or tender...
Once I cut the middle with a knife, it opened up and the fluffy and tender omelet rice appeared.
I ate it with a demi-glace style sauce, replete with the aroma of red wine.
The eggs in the omelet were fluffy and delicious!
By the way, if you order a half-portion of the omelet rice, the price won't change, but a small dessert will be added.
The After-Meal Coffee
Taking a Break or Enjoying Dinner Here is also Recommended!
I highly recommend using this restaurant as a cafe.
In passing, I'd like to introduce a tea-flavored chestnut dessert I enjoyed there before.
It was so elegantly refined and delectable!
In addition to the beautiful night scenery that can be enjoyed at dinner time, live piano performances are offered every evening from 6:00 pm. This place is highly recommended for dinner with that special someone. It is also a great venue to use for parties.
