With global concerns for the environment and debate around the future of the world’s food supply, MUJI has taken a new step with the launch of its Cricket Flour Senbei (crackers).
These senbei are made from purely derived cricket flour. It is remarked for its aroma and taste that’s similar to shrimp.
Produced domestically and wholly in Japan, the crackers are made using a cricket flour developed by the esteemed works out of Tokushima University. In addition to the low environmental footprint, the high nutritional content, lower feed and gas emissions incurred highly outweigh the mainstream counterpart of livestock farming.
