Last update :

Set in Kawaba Village at the southern foosteps of Mt. Hotaka, one of the 100 famous mountains in Japan. Yutorian is a natural hot springs inn, tucked behind the sprawling rice paddies of Kawaba Village.

The expansive grounds are home to 7 thatched cottages, all of which were constructed painstakingly over months by sourcing kayabuki roofing from across Japan, and amassed materials from authentic Japanese houses. The guest rooms still keep the original pillars and beams today, giving an authentic, rustic air that’s beautiful beyond words. The guest rooms in the main building all include a relaxing layout, with en suite terrace and open air bath. On the mountain hills sits the annexed cottage, providing a perfect getaway to escape the pace of everyday life.

Inside you’ll find 3 different bath facilities, each with an indoor and open air bath for you to soak in the natural hot springs waters. The spring waters are said to rejuvenate and revitalize the skin, having received considerable praise for their skin-beautifying effects.

Once the wear of travel has melted away, guests will find themselves in front of a luxurious feast of creative dishes using local, seasonal ingredients. An exquisite line up of Japanese sakes have been selected to enjoy alongside your meal. After a meal of the area’s beloved sakes and best, seasonal flavors, your body and heart alike will find a new energy to face the day.
