The "Sea Bream Ramen Mengyo Matsuyama Main Store" is located in the ropeway shopping area near Matsuyama Castle.
Originally, this sea bream ramen store was born from the main store in Kinshicho, Tokyo, but since it uses sea bream from Uwajima, Ehime Prefecture, it opened in November 2020 with the aim of becoming Ehime's local ramen.
The soup is made with a lavish amount of sea bream, and the noodles made from whole Hokkaido wheat are a perfect match. The pork chashu is vacuum-cooked at low temperature and smoked with cherry wood chips. The topping of yuzu adds a nice accent.
The zosui (rice porridge) is very popular, with the leftover soup poured over rice topped with minced sea bream.
