Takasu Snow Park
With a wide range of courses and a cafe with a spectacular view, it is one of the largest snow resorts in western Japan.
One of the largest snow resorts in western Japan is located on the eastern slopes of Dainichi-ga-take (Mt. Dainichi) in Takasu, Gujo City. The elevation at the mountain’s peak is 1,550 meters, the highest in the area, and the slopes are covered in the finest snow, “Takasu powder.”
There are a total of 12 courses, ranging from beginner to advanced, with a wide variety of terrain, including three 4,000-meter long courses. There are also a variety of features and attractions, such as a half-pipe, a super-pipe, a huge bank, and a tree run area.
For families, the ”Kids Park” is a perfect area for people of all ages. You can enjoy sledding, snow tubing, and even riding a snowmobile.
The “TAKASU TERRACE” at the top of the slopes, which opened in the winter of 2018, is a popular photo spot. It is a beach resort-style cafe with a spectacular view from the terrace and is accessible with a round-trip gondola ticket even if you do not ski or snowboard.
