World Freshwater Aquarium Aquatotto Gifu
One of World’s largest freshwater aquarium that gathers living things in Nagara River and the world.
Under the theme of freshwater fish in the world and in Nagara River from headwaters to the estuary, this aquarium displays over 20,000 pieces of life in about 220 species which is one of the largest in the world.
The display begins at Nagara River’s headwaters and leads into world’s rivers such as Mekong and Amazon, recreating the habitat of fishes and aquatic life. Be sure to see the world’s largest freshwater fish, Mekong Giant Catfish, the monster fish in Amazon River, pirarucu, and the popular Asian short-clawed otter and capybara.
In Point Guide, the staff will explain standing by the aquarium. Seiryu Fureai Pool lets you feed fish, and a host of programs and events are there for you. Enjoy a fun performance at the Seal Show.
