The railroad runs 39.1 kilometers north-south through the center of the Boso Peninsula, connecting Goi Station, which is linked to the JR Uchibo Line, to the terminus at Kazusa-Nakano Station. Take a nostalgic train ride on the KiHa 200 series, a railroad fan’s favorite, while admiring the peaceful countryside scenery along the line.

Sightseeing trolley trains are also available on certain days. The trolley trains were originally used to transport cargo and do not have windows (except for some cars), so you can enjoy the refreshing breeze while riding in a rustic, rattling train.

Regular and special discount tickets are available at the stations. You can choose from a “one-day ticket” that allows you to get on and off freely throughout the Kominato Line, or a “Goi-Yoro Valley round-trip ticket” that is convenient to visit the scenic Yoro Valley and Yoro Valley Hot Springs. The “Boso Crossing Commemorative Train Ticket” which allows you to ride both the Kominato and the Isumi Railways in succession, is also beneficial. For souvenirs, original goods such as KiHa 40 series destination-sign-shaped key chains (500 yen) and towels with the company name (200 yen) are available.

  • Enjoy the train ride while admiring the countryside views along the line.
