A national park located in Higashi Ward, Fukuoka City. Surrounded by the sea, the vast 350-hectare site is rich, and seasonal flowers are in full bloom all year round. It has playground equipment that even young children can enjoy and an "animal forest" where they can interact with animals, making it a fun place for even small children. The park is also popular among families.
The Sunshine Pool, with six pools, including a water slide and a toddler pool, is very popular in summer. There is also a 24-hectare large lawn, perfect for a relaxing holiday picnic!
Cycling is the best way to enjoy the park. There are four "Cycling Centers" in the park that rent out bicycles, with a total of 1,600 bicycles, ranging from 14-inch to 26-inch bicycles, including those with child seats and electric power-assisted bicycles. The beautiful ocean can be seen from the bike paths.
Marine World Uminonakamichi is also on the premises, an aquarium that exhibits marine life in a form close to nature. The dolphin and sea lion shows with Hakata Bay in the background are very popular. There is also a resort hotel, "The Luigans Spa & Resort."
