Kusatsu Onsen Gensen Ichinoyu
A hot spring inn where guests can stay overnight without meals in Kusatsu Onsen, a hot spring town with many long-established inns.
Located near the center of Kusatsu Onsen town, it is a hot spring inn that offers guests to stay overnight without meals, as if they are “living in the inn.” It is reputed for its casual accommodations in a bustling hot spring town.
Two types of hot spring water are used: the main bathroom uses the water from the “Yubatake Spring Source,'' which is Kusatu’s symbolic Yubatake, and the private bath uses the spring water from the premises. In addition, there is a footbath in the courtyard using the private source of water and is open to all guests, so the guests can unwind and soothe tired feet.
There are 44 rooms of 10 various types, including loft rooms for families and rooms with open-air baths, allowing guests to choose the one that best suits their needs. There are also rooms with mini-kitchens where guests can buy local ingredients and enjoy cooking.
Another plus is that they offer a complimentary breakfast. It is great to fuel up before heading out.
