Melonpan Main Store (Kure City)

A long-established bakery established in 1936. The store's signature product is the melon bread, which also bears the store's name, and has remained popular since its establishment. The unique rugby ball shape of the melon bread is filled with homemade cream in the fluffy dough! It is very heavy and satisfying to eat. It is handmade one at a time, and is baked fresh every morning in the store, and also delivered to stores in the prefecture.

In addition to melon bread, they also have a wide variety of pastries and filled & stuffed breads.
The popular chocolate-covered "Nana Pan" bread and the "Saga no Ogura-an," which is filled with ANKO (sweet red bean paste), is a perfect snack for a stroll. The old-fashioned retro packaging is also unique and makes you want to take a picture of it. Among them, the "Kure-shi no koppepan (Mr. Kure’s hot dog bun)", a bun with a drawing of Mr.Kure, the local character of Kure City, makes a great souvenir.
