This classic ryokan is designed in the manner of a Japanese castle with white walls and tiled roofs. The complex faces clear the Mitoku River, which accentuates the beautiful Japanese garden by incorporating an all-season background landscape.
The ryokan has three of its own springs on the premises. With the most abundant amount of water in Misaka Onsen area, their springs are rich in radium, and soft on the skin. The ryokan has 12 separate baths, all hot water flowing directly in from the spring. Particularly popular baths are the "Niwa no Yu" and "Taki no Yu," both offering the feeling of bathing in wild nature. These open-air bathes are set splendidly among a Japanese garden covering an area of 3,000 m2. The "Shinzen no Yu," one of the largest rental open-air baths in the San’in region, and the "Barahi no Yu," a women-only bath with 200 fresh roses floating on it, are also popular and are available for non-guest users.
Fantastic seasonal kaiseki cuisine with a focused on local foods, usually includes Tottori wagyu beef, live abalone, nodoguro (northern bluefin tuna), mosa shrimp, and other delicacies. In particular, meaty Matsuba crab dishes (fresh from the fishing ports of Tottori, Ajiro, Tajiri, and Sakai) are unforgettable! Be sure to make a reservation.
In addition to regular guest rooms, high-concept rooms with a private open-air bath and detached guest rooms are available, offering more privacy. Original yukata are available for rent for women.
