This waterfront of Hakata Bay emanates a modern atmosphere, punctuated by landmarks like the Fukuoka Tower and the PayPay Dome. Nestled by the coast of Momochi Beach lies Seaside Momochi Beach Park, boasting a meticulously designed beach that stretches for about 1.5km.
Surprisingly spacious and clean for a city beach, it offers not just swimming but also beach sports like beach volleyball and beach soccer. Come summer, and the place bustles with visitors.
Located midway on the beach is "Marizon", a commercial establishment equipped with restaurants, shops, and even a chapel floating on the sea for weddings. It also serves as a demarcation between the swimming and sports areas of the beach.
*Note: The swimming area is only on the eastern side of the Momochi Beach district. Swimming is allowed until 9/1, from 9:30am to 5:30pm.
The juxtaposition of surrounding buildings, white sandy shores, and the azure sea creates a picturesque daytime view. At night, the city lights shimmering on the water's surface present a stunning visual treat. It's also a recommended spot for photography (though commercial shooting requires permission).

On the western side at the beach house, permanent changing rooms and hot water showers are available (paid: 100 yen for 3 minutes). Changes might occur depending on the COVID-19 situation.
