Jimmy’s Naha Branch

“Jimmy’s” started in 1956 as a small grocery store aiming to bring the diverse American food culture to Japan. The store initially sold American imported goods, but eventually expanded its roster to sell Australian and European goods, becoming an international grocery store. Jimmy’s also aims to put effort in making their original goods, inviting foreign craftsmen. They currently sell homemade cookies, cakes, and famous fresh bakery. Apart from original goods, they also sell international goodies, Okinawan local foods, groceries, sundries and more. There are currently 21 stores, exclusively in Okinawa, enriching the daily consumption of Okinawan citizens.

The largest Jimmy’s branch in Naha sells a full roster of goodies such as homemade bread and cake, all baked fresh from their inhouse factory. In the mini-bakery at the Naha branch, freshly baked goodies such as apple pie and scones attract visitors. Recommended for souvenirs are the “Tropical Cookies”, an assortment of 10 varieties of original cookies or the rich, soft “Super Cookies”.

Located adjacent to the store is “Island Grill Naha”, operated by Jimmy’s. It is popular among locals on the weekends. They serve a popular lunch buffet and seasonal menus.
