Mentai Cuisine Hakata Shoboan

Shoboan's mentaiko is a delicacy, using only carefully selected pollock roe from Hokkaido, marinated in a luxurious and spicy sauce made with domestically produced grilled flying fish dashi, known for its refined and smooth taste.

A popular menu item is the "Mentai Mabushi," which combines their proud mentaiko with Hakata's famous sea bream rice dish in a style similar to hitsumabushi. You can enjoy the proud mentaiko and the firm, slightly fatty sea bream in three different ways.
