Last update :

An observation facility offering a 360-degree panoramic view of the Tokyo cityscape from a height of approximately 230 meters above the ground.
Located on the 14th, 45th, 46th and rooftop of Shibuya Scramble Square, the tallest building in the Shibuya area, there are three zones: "SKY GATE," "SKY STAGE" and "SKY GALLERY.

The first thing visitors will experience is the transitional space "SKY GATE."
From the 14th to the 45th floor, visitors move through a futuristic visual, music, and light display to the "SKY STAGE" on the rooftop, the main zone.

The "SKY STAGE," with approx. 2,500 m2 of observation space, is open-air and offers a 360-degree panoramic view. It offers the view of landmarks such as Tokyo Tower and the Tokyo Sky Tree, as well as the view of Mt. Fuji on a clear day. After sunset, "CROSSING LIGHT," which illuminates the sky above, is held once every 30 minutes, creating a different atmosphere from that of the daytime.

The third zone, SKY GALLERY, is an indoor observation corridor on the 46th floor.
In addition to enjoying the view and exhibitions without worrying about the weather, the music bar offers snacks, drinks, and alcohol.
Visitors can spend a relaxing time overlooking the city of Tokyo.

You can get a bird's-eye view of all of Shibuya from up here. On clear days, you can even see Tokyo Tower and Mt. Fuji in the distance.

I visited on March 13, 2024, at 10:40 AM. I thought it would be easier for the staff if I printed out my online ticket, but they only checked the digital version on my phone. So I recommend having the file ready on your phone. The weather was great that day, and I could see Mt. Fuji. There weren't many people in the morning slot, so it didn't feel crowded at all.

The best time to visit Shibuya Sky is about an hour before sunset. That way, you can enjoy the daytime view, watch the sunset, and then see the city light up as night falls. It's a romantic way to experience Tokyo from day to night.

The rooftop is fantastic, but if you want to relax, I recommend sitting on the sofas and enjoying the view. Both the sunny daytime and the night scenery have their own unique charm.

Sky Gate is on the rooftop of Shibuya Scramble Square, right by Shibuya Station. There's a 360-degree open-air observation deck called SHIBUYA SKY, which is perfect for checking out Tokyo's cityscape and night views. The glass corners are super Instagrammable and it's become a must-visit spot for both locals and tourists!

Besides the outdoor deck, you can see Tokyo Tower, Skytree, Shinjuku, Tokyo Bay, and even Mt. Fuji all at once. It's honestly breathtaking! ❤️
