Sapporo Beer Garden

The “Sapporo Beer Garden” is instantly recognizable from its brick chimney, and red star icon. The red star, the symbol of Hokkaido pioneering, is nowadays loved as the symbol of Sapporo Beer Garden. In this garden, visitors can enjoy a variety of beers based on location in Sapporo, known as the birthplace of Japanese beer.

Sapporo Beer Garden features 5 restaurants. The main floor is the embassy pavilion’s 2nd and 3rd floor, the Kessel Hall. In this spacious hall is the giant “Kessel”, a pot used to prepare beer, and was made in 1912. This pavilion is for those who wish to enjoy the authentic Hokkaido beer garden experience by enjoying fresh beer and Jingisukan.

The classic, and imposing “Trommel Hall” and “Lilac” that serves a variety of different flavored Jingisukan is based in a spacious hall with a giant window, similar to buildings designed in the Meiji period. The “Garden Grill” serves grilled grain-fed lamb, seafood, and vegetables. Each pavilion features its beauty.
