Royce Potatochip Chocolate

Royce was opened in 1983 in Sapporo City. Hoping to make products which will meet the quality of European chocolate, they endeavor to create chocolate each day in the ideal cool climate even in summer. Royce began selling “Potatochip Chocolate” in 2002. The rarity and good taste of the unexpected combination was spread by word of mouth, and now it is one of Royce’s main products.

Salty potato chips and sweet chocolate match bewitchingly, and people say one bite leads to another and it is hard to stop. The wavy cut of the potato chips is designed to delicately control the amount of chocolate coating. Since the chocolate covers only one side, you can taste the crispy potato at the same time.

Besides the original flavor, now they have four kinds in all - refreshingly tart cheese flavor “Fromage Blanc,” salty and sweet, flavorful “Caramel,” and modestly sweet mature taste, “Mild Bitter.”
