Located in the coastal hot spring area of Kaike Onsen on the northern side of Yonago City, Kaike Shogetsu was established in 1927 and continues to operate with 19 rooms, a number that has remained unchanged since its inception. This allows for a highly personalized hospitality experience, which has earned the inn high praise.

The inn boasts a grand bath and open-air baths that provide guests with a panoramic view of the Sea of Japan and Mount Daisen. These baths are rich in minerals known for their heat retention and moisturizing effects. Ten of the nineteen rooms include private open-air baths, and there are four different types of reservation-only private open-air baths available. The cuisine features seasonal delicacies from the Sea of Japan, such as summer rock oysters, abalone, autumn nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch), and winter Matsuba crab. Guests can choose between dining in an ocean-view restaurant or enjoying their meals in their rooms.

Directly in front of the inn is Kaike Onsen Yuyu Beach, a popular swimming spot known for its clean water and safety, selected as one of Japan’s 88 best bathing beaches. The inn also offers rooms like the single "Cabana Room" and two rooms with open-air baths, which are particularly popular in the summer.
