The highlight of the displays is the giant Nijisseiki pear tree, 20m in diameter and more than 70 year old, which is said to have produced nearly 4,000 fruit every year. There are displays of artworks featuring pears, the fun “Garden of Wonder” makes you feel like you shrank in size, standing in a pear garden. In early May, you can have the hands-on experience of fruit thinning and wrapping them in bags. In mid-September, you can harvest them (with a fee). Get involved in the pear cultivation in different seasons.

After learning about pears from displays, eat them! You can compare the taste of three species at “Pear Kitchen Gallery” and “Fruit Parlor” serves the Nijisseiki Pear ice cream, mini parfait with pear, etc.
