Kaimondake, Lake Ikeda, Unagiike, and other magnificent natural landscapes shaped by volcanic activity define the scenic beauty of Ibusuki City in Kagoshima Prefecture. Nestled along the Fushime Coast in the Yamagawa area, the "Healthy Land" onsen facility is home to the highly popular Tamatebako Onsen, a day-use open-air bath with breathtaking views.

The Japanese-style open-air bath offers a stunning view of the majestic Mount Kaimon, also known as "Satsuma Fuji," while the Western-style open-air bath overlooks Takeyama, often referred to as "Snoopy Mountain." Both baths provide a panoramic view of the vast East China Sea, and on clear days, you can even see Yakushima and Iojima Islands. The spectacular scenery has earned rave reviews from visitors, with the onsen being ranked the number one "Best Day-Use Onsen & Spa" for four consecutive years by a popular travel review site. The open-air baths alternate between male and female use depending on the date.

In addition to Tamatebako Onsen, "Healthy Land" also features the "Onsen Hoyokan," which includes a large bathhouse, sauna, and private baths, making it a perfect spot for a relaxing retreat.
