Opened in 2019, "SAKURA MACHI Kumamoto" is a large multi-complex facility featuring approximately 150 stores, including fashion, cosmetics, and restaurants. It also houses a major event venue, "Kumamoto-jo Hall," a 9-screen cinema complex, "TOHO Cinemas," "KOKO HOTEL Premier Kumamoto," as well as offices and condominiums.

The rooftop floor, known as "Sakura Machi Garden," offers a modern update of the historical "Yoshun Tei" garden once belonging to the Hosokawa family, lords of Kumamoto Castle. This area, called "Sakura Machi Garden," creates the illusion of being connected to Kumamoto Castle itself. The "Kumamoto Castle Terrace" provides panoramic views of key Kumamoto landmarks such as Kumamoto Castle and Mount Aso. The "Rooftop Park" includes slides and water play areas, offering a fun and spacious area for children right in the heart of the city.

On the ground floor, the facility integrates a bus terminal. This terminal serves direct buses to Kumamoto Station and Kumamoto Airport, as well as city sightseeing buses, making it an ideal base for exploring Kumamoto.
