TOKYO CRUISE Water Bus
Enjoy Tokyo's landmarks such as the bridges over the Sumida River, Skytree, and Rainbow Bridge from the water bus.
"TOKYO CRUISE" allows you to enjoy a leisurely boat trip while sightseeing in Tokyo using the Sumida River route. On the "Sumida River Line" departing from Asakusa, you can see 12 bridges including Azumabashi and Kiyosubashi, as well as Tokyo Skytree and the Asahi Group's headquarters building. On the "Odaiba Line" that connects Hinode Pier and Odaiba Marine Park, you can view the Rainbow Bridge and the Statue of Liberty from the water.
The boats used for boarding are all unique. Among them, the three types known as "Hotaruna," "Himiko," and "Emeraldas" have a futuristic appearance and were designed with a spaceship in mind by Leiji Matsumoto, a manga artist known for works such as "Space Battleship Yamato" and "Galaxy Express 999". There are several boarding points including Asakusa, Hinode Pier, and Odaiba Marine Park, making it easy to incorporate into a sightseeing route before and after the cruise. In addition, there are special cruises held during events such as the "Sumida River Fireworks Festival", and charter cruises where you can freely choose the course and time slot (reservation required).
Reservations for boarding can be made on the web from the beginning of the month prior to the boarding date until 5 minutes before departure. If there are vacancies on the day, boarding without a reservation is also possible. Additionally, on the "Sumida River Line" boats, audio guide rental services in English, Chinese, and Korean are also available (for a fee).
