Miya Kishimen Jingu Store
Savor Nagoya’s iconic kishimen noodles amidst the lush greenery of Atsuta Shrine’s expansive grounds.
Located near the Second Torii Gate in the central area of Atsuta Shrine—one of Japan’s three great shrines—the Kusanagi Plaza opened in 2021. Featuring a pond and walking paths, this tranquil space has become a popular spot for visitors to relax. As part of the plaza’s completion, the historic Miya Kishimen Jingu Store, originally founded at Atsuta Shrine, underwent a renewal. Surrounded by lush greenery, it offers a refreshing atmosphere to enjoy the traditional flavors of this renowned eatery.
The clean and airy open-air space with a roof provides the perfect setting to savor their signature dish, Miya Kishimen. Known for its silky texture and firm bite, these noodles are made with carefully selected ingredients and traditional methods. The menu includes a variety of styles, such as hot and cold broth options, curry-flavored broth, and even carbonara-style (winter only). Beyond noodles, they also serve set meals and rice dishes.
Exclusive to the Jingu Store are sweet treats like the Miya Cream Zenzai and soft-serve ice cream, which are equally popular with visitors.
