Yokochoyaki no Mise

A beloved local confection in the Ise area since the Meiji era, "Panjyu" is a simple yet delicious treat featuring fragrant dough filled with sweet red bean paste. It's a favorite snack for locals and a popular treat for visitors to Ise Jingu Shrine.

The "Yokochoyaki (Koshi-an)" here features a moist, melt-in-your-mouth dough with a hint of aonori (green laver) fragrance. The rich and refined sweetness of the densely packed red bean paste pairs perfectly with the aonori aroma. The dough is made with wheat from Mie Prefecture, and the red bean paste uses adzuki beans from Hokkaido. Seasonal offerings such as matcha bean paste and chestnut-filled red bean paste also make appearances.

Also popular is the rich vanilla soft serve made with fresh milk from Hokkaido. Unique offerings include the "Ankoro Mochi Matcha Soft," a combination of matcha and vanilla soft serve with sweet red bean paste and mochi, and seasonal flavors like fresh strawberry soft serve in spring.
