Choshuya Yuda Branch

Located along the main street of Yuda Onsen on Prefectural Route 204, Chōshūya Yuda Branch is an izakaya dedicated to showcasing the best of Yamaguchi Prefecture's local flavors. With a mission to share Yamaguchi’s culinary delights both within and beyond the prefecture, the restaurant serves dishes made with locally sourced ingredients.

One of the must-try specialties is kawara soba, a Yamaguchi delicacy where green tea soba noodles are topped with shredded egg, beef, and other ingredients, all served on a heated roof tile. The dish is often ordered in portions for two to four people and presented on a single large tile for a communal dining experience—a fun and interactive way to enjoy this regional favorite. The restaurant also offers fugu (pufferfish) dishes, including fugu hot pot, sashimi, and deep-fried fugu, as well as grilled skewers and karaage made from Chōshū-dori, a premium local breed of chicken, and tataki-style kuro-kashiwa chicken.
