Chikushian Main Store

Located just off the path leading to Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine, Chikushian is a popular spot for local burgers. Originally opened as a karaage (fried chicken) specialty shop, it now offers four different types of burgers in addition to its homemade karaage.

The star of the menu is the "Dazaifu Burger," a local specialty burger filled with juicy homemade jidori karaage (local chicken fried chicken), topped with tartar sauce and fresh vegetables for a hearty bite. A key feature of this burger is the plum sauce under the karaage, which adds a tangy accent to the flavor. Another unique option is the "Gokaku Burger," named after the god of learning, making it a recommended choice for students preparing for exams. Other offerings include the "Chikushian Burger," which contains four pieces of karaage, and the "Hakata Burger," featuring Hakata’s famous mentaiko (spicy cod roe).

While there is an eat-in space inside the store, taking your burger to go and enjoying it while strolling along the shrine path is also a fun option.
