Pleasure Boat Benten-maru

The pleasure boat "Benten-maru" offers a quick and scenic 10-minute ride, connecting Enoshima's Bentenbashi at the entrance of the island to the Chigogafuchi marine plateau on the west side. Although it's a 30-minute walk between these points, the boat ride provides a convenient alternative, especially for those who may not be confident in their physical stamina.

The cruise is packed with stunning sights, including the majestic ocean vistas, the rugged cliffs contrasted with lush greenery that characterizes Enoshima's landscape, and on clear days, even views of Mount Fuji. The route provides easy access to various tourist attractions, including the Enoshima Iwaya caves, worshipped as the abode of the dragon god and the birthplace of Enoshima Shrine, as well as the "Ryuren no Kane" (Bell of Dragon Love), a popular spot for couples due to its legend of a celestial maiden and a five-headed dragon. The route also reaches the Okutsumiya of Enoshima Shrine, notable for its traditional hip-and-gable roof architecture.
