Café De Beau

The serene hideaway of Kansai, cherished by Taiko Toyotomi Hideyoshi, is none other than Arima Onsen. Nestled near the famed golden hot spring, Kinsen, Café De Beau is a charming retro café that transports visitors to a different time.

The concept behind the café is a whimsical blend of cultures, imagining, “What if a Frenchman opened a café in Arima Onsen?” The result is a unique space where both yukata and Western attire feel equally at home.
The café occupies a refurbished Western-style mansion where the owner once lived. Inside, the ambiance is nostalgic, with carefully curated antique furniture and a collection of vintage cameras adding to the atmosphere. While the interior is distinctly Western, the café’s courtyard features a beautiful Japanese garden, creating a harmonious blend of East and West.

The menu reflects the café’s dedication to quality and local ingredients. Highlights include the “Arima Roll,” made with the rare Kinsen salt from Arima Onsen, and the original “Black Soybean Tart” featuring Tanba black beans. To complement these sweets, the café offers its signature “Kobe Hagihara Coffee,” a special blend tailored to pair perfectly with their desserts.
