Higashiyama Yuuzu

Located in Gion, Yasui Kitamon-dori in Kyoto and near the beloved Yasaka Shrine, known locally as "Gion-san," this specialty yuba restaurant is directly managed by the authentic yuba workshop "Kyoto Miyama Yuba Yuuzu" based in Nantan Miyama Town, where they handle everything from soybean cultivation to yuba production.

Miyama Yuba, which is also supplied directly to top hotels and prestigious ryotei (Japanese restaurants), is made from select Miyama soybeans and local water, ensuring a premium quality product.
Guests at Higashiyama Yudofu can savor kaiseki cuisine that blends Japanese and Western elements, made with seasonal ingredients including the finest Miyama yuba.

The restaurant offers a variety of menus, with lunch featuring seasonal set meals and courses, and dinner offering two types of yuba cuisine courses, "Sasarizato" and "Miyama." The collaboration between a chef with a background in traditional Japanese ryotei and an Italian-trained chef brings new allure to yuba dishes, making it an accessible and enjoyable experience even for those new to yuba cuisine.

The interior of the restaurant is sophisticated, with a white wood base, offering counter seats, comfortable table seating, and semi-private tatami rooms that cater to a wide range of dining scenarios, from individual diners to group banquets.
