Kogetsu Premium Senju Senbei

In Kyoto, where traditional confectionery shops fiercely compete, it was the "Senju Senbei" that made Kogetsu famous. Since its launch in 1963, this confection has become a long-selling favorite, not just as a Kyoto souvenir but nationwide. In 2022, the beloved Senju Senbei was further refined, resulting in the "Premium Senju Senbei."

The original Senju Senbei, loved by many, used German machinery to create a unique wave-shaped cookie filled with cream, breaking traditional Japanese confectionery norms. The development of the Premium Senju Senbei took four years, focusing on enhancing its deliciousness. The sugar cream filling is enriched with condensed milk for a deeper, more luxurious flavor. The cookie dough, made from the premium "Takaragasa" brand wheat flour, combines two types of domestic wheat flour and rich butter to achieve a lighter, melt-in-your-mouth texture.
Incorporating coarse sugar into the dough adds a new "crunchy and crumbly" sensation.

The distinctive wave shape of the original Senju Senbei is retained, but the difference in taste will be evident from the first bite.
