Kameya Yoshinaga "Slice Yokan <Ogura Butter>"

From the long-established confectioner Kameya Yoshinaga, founded in 1803, comes a new and innovative product. Instead of the traditional anko (sweet bean paste) on toast, this product uses yokan (sweet bean jelly) on toast, allowing you to easily enjoy Ogura butter toast.

The 2.5mm thick sliced yokan features luxurious Tanba Dainagon adzuki beans, complemented by a butter yokan with a hint of Okinawan salt and poppy seeds for an added touch. The rich flavor of the anko, a specialty of Kyoto’s high-end confectionery, sets this apart from typical Ogura butter toast.

Preparing it is simple. Just place the "Slice Yokan <Ogura Butter>" on a slice of bread and toast it until the bread is golden brown and the yokan starts to bubble.

As the yokan melts, it combines with the toast, creating a taste reminiscent of freshly baked anpan (sweet bean paste-filled bread). The sweet yokan and salty butter yokan create an addictive flavor that elevates any ordinary slice of bread to a luxurious treat.
