Yokoyama Observatory, perched at an altitude of 140 meters, offers breathtaking views of a coastline dotted with 60 picturesque islands. The observatory underwent a renovation in 2018, introducing a modern viewing terrace.

At the terrace, you can visit the "Yokoyama Tenku Café Terrace Mirador Shima," which serves a variety of drinks and food in a takeout style. Here, you can relax and enjoy the stunning views of the Satoumi (village sea) while savoring treats made from local Ise-Shima ingredients.

Don't miss the visitor center located below the observatory, where you can learn about the Ise-Shima National Park. The theater room near the entrance features immersive videos displayed on three walls and the floor, showcasing different parts of the park, including a close-up view of an ama diver harvesting turban shells from underwater rocks.

The area also features well-maintained walking trails, making it a great starting point for hiking and trekking. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and clothing as the trails can be rugged.
