This retail multiplex was opened in Spring 2024 in the revamped space that once housed the Keio Takao Building Annex. The KO52 name is coined as a wink at the Keio Electric Railway Takao Line's Takao Station. The “KO” also doubles as a nod to the Japanese word for individuality, and a whimsical invitation to “feel free” (52 or “go-jiyuu-ni” in Japanese sounds “feel free to go ahead”) at this “go to” hub.
The second floor is the main entrance and foyer into KO52 TAKAO, a space where you’ll find the "Takao Beer" and proprietary microbrewery in the back. Here, visitors can enjoy beers brewed on-site in the taproom. The same floor is also home to "Board'am," a go to spot for coffee lovers to kick back with their favorite cup of joe.
Inside you’ll find a smattering of unique and eclectic shops, even including the flagship store of a coveted Takao training brand, known for design gear and trail gear to hike up Mt. Takao. Step inside to see boutiques that pack everything you need for the great outdoors and to make the best of your day out in the Takao area nature.
