Laview

“Laview” is the express train that hit the rails as of 2019 on the Seibu Ikebukuro Line, connecting Ikebukuro and Seibu Chichibu Stations in just 77 minutes. Hop on for an easy day trip to the Chichibu area with plenty of time make it back to central Tokyo on the same day, making it the savvy way to zip up and explore Chichibu on the fly.

Intended as "a train like no other you've ever seen”, Laview is one train you won’t miss thanks to design by world-renowned architect Kazuyo Sejima. The train's front car features large curved glass panels that create a soft, welcoming exterior. The cabin interiors glow in warm shades of yellow and fitted with exceptionally comfortable seating, creating a living-room-like atmosphere. The sprawling floor-to-ceiling windows stretch down to the floor mean you’re in for panoramic views of the passing landscape and a delightful trip like never before.

To travel via Laview, grab both a regular ticket and express ticket for your destination. Foreign travelers can take advantage of the "SEIBU 1Day Pass/SEIBU 2Day Pass”, which offers unlimited rides on Seibu lines (except the Tamagawa Line) for one or two days. Just be sure to grab an additional express ticket for Laview to ride.
