Founded in 1960 and known for its tsukudani, Daikokuya has a store in the "Sanchika" underground shopping area in the Sannomiya district. The store is easily accessible from various JR and private railway stations, allowing for comfortable shopping even on rainy days.

The store is famous for its wide range of products. Starting with "Shigureni (simmered beef)" and "Kugini (simmered young anchovies),"Over 50 varieties of products are alined at the store. Not only does it use ingredients like young anchovies caught off the coast of Kobe and Kobe beef, but it also incorporates many Hyogo Prefecture products, such as soy sauce and red wine, in its seasoning. The carefully simmered sweet and savory flavors are perfect with warm rice, as well as a snack with sake, making them a favorite among both children and adults.

The traditional Japanese-style packaging is perfect for souvenirs. Products such as the "Kobe Beef Gobou-ni (burdock root simmered in soy sauce with Kobe beef)" and "Kobe Beef Soboro-ni (ground Kobe beef simmered in soy sauce)" set called "Kobe Beef Zukushi," and the "Matsutake Kombu (matsutake mushrooms and Hokkaido kelp)" are particularly popular among tourists from abroad.
