Step onto the grounds to find a myriad of 5 bath types across the 3 communal bath floors, including the spacious tatami bath Shirasagi no Yu, at a sprawling 100 tatami mats in size, and the open-air Kajika no Yu bath that comes replete with the burbling sounds of Hida River just outside. For an added perk, there are even 9 private baths to try—two in the main building and seven in the annex—meaning you’re sure to find the perfect soak to fit your style. Four of the communal baths, excluding the Onsen Spa San bath are also open to drop-in day users.
