Inside you’ll find a full-fledged tourist information center and rest area, making it an ideal place to get everything you need before heading out on a trip. During winter you can even join the many who use this as a departure point for the drift ice sightseeing icebreaker ship "Aurora”.

The station is a haven for tasty local delights. If you're looking for a quick bite, head to the takeout corner for a mouthwatering Abashiri Burger, featuring locally caught Chum Salmon paired with Nagaimo and Kinjirushi Wasabi, or treat yourself to a swirl of Aurora Soft Serve. For those with a bigger appetite, the second-floor dining area offers hearty dishes like the Abashiri Zangi Don, a fried salmon dish served over rice, or the top-selling Abashiri Champon noodle dish, both of which hail from this spot exclusively.

Inside there’s a local specialities shop selling Abashiri Pudding, famous sweets, prepared land and sea goods, original Michi-no-Eki goods, and "Aurora" themed items, making it the perfect spot to pick up souvenirs.
