Ikor no Mori
Experience the “treasures” of Hokkaido! A forest filled with the beauty of nature.
"Ikor" means "treasure" in the Ainu language, and this forest invites visitors to experience the natural beauty that is truly Hokkaido's "treasure."
The site features 11 themed gardens, each offering a unique atmosphere. Highlights include the Woodland Garden, surrounded by trees; the Rose Garden, showcasing hardy rose varieties suited to the cold; the White Garden, with an array of plants blooming in white; and the Natural Garden, where visitors can enjoy wildflowers native to Hokkaido.
Within the facility, there are dining options as well. The garden café "Chise" serves lunch items like taco rice, steak, and salads, along with soft serve ice cream and homemade desserts. Pair your meal with their specialty original blend coffee. The café is adjacent to a Restaurant Garden, where guests can relax on the lawn and enjoy the open space.
The Ikor House offers garden goods, plant seedlings, and crafts by local Hokkaido artists, alongside household and kitchen items. It’s a perfect spot to find unique gifts and souvenirs.
