Last update :

Located in the heart of Mito City, Senba Park is a serene retreat surrounding Lake Senba, offering a total area of approximately 78.4 hectares adjacent to Kairakuen Garden. The park boasts a variety of attractions and facilities, including the wooden "Waterfront Deck," which gives visitors the feeling of standing right on the lake, the "Youth Forest" equipped with a field athletic course, the "Children's Plaza" featuring play structures and swings, and the "Babbling Stream Plaza," where kids can enjoy splashing in a stream fed by natural spring water.

The 3-kilometer lakeside path around Lake Senba, lined with cherry trees, is a popular walking and jogging route. In spring, around 700 cherry blossoms bloom along the lakeside, attracting crowds of visitors for hanami (flower viewing). The lake itself, featuring three fountains, is home to numerous species of wildlife, including swans and various fish and bird species.

On the lakeside, you'll find the glass-walled "Kobun Café," offering a bright and open atmosphere where visitors can casually enjoy lunch or drinks. Don’t forget to check out the selection of local Mito souvenirs available for purchase!
