Café au lait Tokyo is Japan’s only café dedicated entirely to café au lait. Originally opened in Takadanobaba, it relocated in 2021 to its current location, where antique furnishings and cozy vibes welcome coffee lovers.

Each cup is carefully hand-dripped to order, with freshly ground beans and your choice of four types of milk, customizable in both type and amount. In the warmer months, the iced café au lait—made with frozen café au lait cubes that melt into a richer flavor over time—is a must-try.

Beyond drinks, the café offers a range of sides, including sandwiches, sweets, and their famous “Café au lait Curry.” This dish features black coffee rice paired with a creamy milk-based curry sauce packed with spices and ingredients—an eye-catching and flavorful experience that evolves with every bite.

On Sunday evenings, the café transforms into a Kahlúa Milk specialty bar, where you can customize your drink and enjoy creative Kahlúa-infused dishes and desserts.
