The museum offers stunning 360-degree panoramic views of the Sea of Okhotsk, the Shiretoko Peninsula, and the Shiretoko Mountain Range from its third-floor observation terrace.
Step inside to see all the fascinating exhibits, now available since the museum’s revamped look in 2023. At Drift Ice Underwater Live you’ll find an immersive look as if diving into the Sea of Okhotsk via 360-degree camera footage. At the Drift Ice Fantasy Theater sits a full rolodex of videos blasted up on the 400-inch screens for a visual experience like none other. There’s even the Drift Ice Experience Terrace, set at a chilling -15°C where you can find real drift ice available to touch and full-on recreations low-latitude auroras.
Animal loves will love the chance to see rare creatures from the Sea of Okhotsk, like the Clione, the “angel of drift ice” and the famed blobfish.
