The Beppu Ropeway connects Beppu-Kōgen Station, located at the foot of Tsurumi-dake, to Tsurumi-Sanjo Station at an altitude of 1,300 meters. Spanninga steep 1,816-meter ascent in about 10 minutes, it offers a smooth yet thrilling journey up the mountain. Measuring in at a whopping 12 meters long and 8 meters wide, you’re in for a cozy, spacious ride on one of Kyushu’s largest gondolas.
