The Harunasan Ropeway connects the shores of Lake Haruna to the summit of Mount Haruna in approximately three minutes. Operating since 1958, it introduced Japan's first 15-passenger twin gondola system in 1996. As the ropeway ascends through the lush natural surroundings of Mount Haruna, passengers can enjoy a stunning aerial journey with breathtaking panoramic views.

From the observation spot to the left of Haruna Fuji Summit Station, visitors can see as far as the Tanigawa Mountain Range, Mount Asama, and the Kanto Plain. On clear days, even Mount Fuji and the Yatsugatake Mountains are visible. The area is equipped with gazebos, tables, and benches, allowing visitors to relax and soak in the crisp highland air.

A five-minute walk from the summit station along the shrine path leads to the Haruna Fuji Shrine, dedicated to the deity Konohanasakuya-hime, known for blessings in matchmaking and safe childbirth. Visitors can purchase ema (wooden prayer plaques) at the Haruna Highland Station below and tie them at the shrine to make their wishes come true.
