Konica Minolta Planetarium Manten in Sunshine City
A new and unique planetarium offering a special stargazing experience.
Located in Ikebukuro, Konica Minolta Planetarium Manten is a popular spot for a wide range of visitors, from families to couples, where you can enjoy the beauty of the starry sky right in the center of the city.
The horizontal dome, which features no steps, is equipped with the latest optical projectors that create a vivid, three-dimensional starry sky—so realistic it feels as if you're gazing at real stars. The front row of the dome features the "Shiba Seat" (limited to 3 groups), a full-flat space where visitors can lie back and enjoy the stars, while the "Cloud Seat" (limited to 5 groups) offers soft, fluffy seating for a comfortable stargazing experience.
There are typically three planetarium programs being shown, with regular changes. In the "Healing Planetarium," the dome is infused with soothing aromas, providing a relaxing and immersive stargazing experience that combines pleasant scents with celestial visuals.
In the in-house shop, Gallery Planetaria, you'll find stylish original goods inspired by stars and the moon. The shop also offers tea blends and aromatherapy products in collaboration with specialty stores, making it a perfect place to pick up a souvenir.
