Togokusan Fruits Park
17 orchards and 100+ varieties of tropical and subtropical trees at this park and paradise for fruit lovers!
Togokusan Fruits Park is a nature-hugged agricultural park set at the northeastern edge of Nagoya at the foot of Mt. Togoku. The park first opened in April 1980.
A visit here will bring you to 17 orchards where familiar fruits like pears, apples, and grapes are grown. In the World Tropical Fruit Greenhouse, over 100 varieties of tropical and subtropical fruit trees, including bananas and papayas, are cultivated. The greenhouse offers a jungle-like experience, where visitors can also see rare fruits like jackfruit and Litchi, which are not commonly found in Japan.
On weekends and holidays, fruit-picking events for apples, oranges, and other fruits are held, allowing visitors to harvest their own fruit and purchase it by weight. Don’t forget to bring your own bag or eco-friendly tote as plastic bags are available for a fee.
The park also has a restaurant and shops offering fresh juice and desserts made from fruits grown on-site, plus plenty of space to sprawl out for a picnic on the lawn or relax by the fishing pond. The park is also renowned for its beautiful weeping cherry blossoms in spring.
