Sukuji Beach, located about 10 minutes by car from the nationally designated scenic spot Kabira Bay, is one of Ishigaki Island's most popular beaches. Past a grove of evergreen Casuarina trees, the beach reveals itself as a beautiful crescent-shaped stretch of white sand that extends for about 1 kilometer, set against the backdrop of a stunning blue sea.

The shallow, calm waters of the bay make it a safe spot for swimming, ideal for families with small children. During the summer, a jellyfish prevention net is installed, and lifeguards are on duty. The crystal-clear water is perfect for sea kayaking tours, where visitors can observe coral reefs, tropical fish, and even sea turtles from the surface. Various marine sports, such as jet skiing and SUP, are also available at nearby beachside hotels and can be enjoyed by both guests and visitors. The waters off the Ishizaki Peninsula, located just offshore, are a famous diving spot with a high chance of encountering manta rays.

Facing the western side of the island, Sukuji Beach is renowned for its spectacular sunsets. As the sun dips below the horizon, the beach transforms into an incredible spot for stargazing, with a sky full of twinkling stars.
