Last update :

Located on the western edge of Ishigaki Island's Yarabu Peninsula, Oganzaki is a site steeped in history and reverence, long regarded as a sacred place where gods descend. Today, it is celebrated as a must-visit destination for breathtaking views.

This cape, marked by a striking white lighthouse, stands atop rugged cliffs, with waves crashing dramatically below. From an elevation of about 40 meters, visitors can enjoy sweeping vistas. The northern side features wild, rugged landscapes with jagged rock formations, including the legendary "Fuchibui Rock," precariously balanced atop an offshore reef. To the south, the scenery shifts to a more tropical charm, with pandanus trees, natural beaches, and an invitingly open atmosphere.

From April to May, the area comes alive with the bloom of trumpet lilies, creating a stunning display of countless white flowers covering the hillsides. At the same time, evening primroses add a delicate pink hue, enchanting visitors with their beauty.
