Ruysdael Nakano Main Store

Located along Nakano Street, known for its striking cherry blossom trees leading to Tetsugakudo Park, Ruysdael is an age-old Western confectionery shop founded in 1923 (Taisho 12). With the core concept of “Chic & Elegance”, the shop preserves traditional European baking methods while aiming for a familiar and delightful texture. They carefully select and use the best ingredients suited to each confection. Ruysdael is also recognized as the first in Japan to produce chocolate bars, a tradition they have carried forward while continuously striving for memorable, exquisite flavors that bring joy to recipients.

The main shop mirrors all the joys of early 20th-century Western architecture, with a full array of confections crafted to highlight the natural flavors of the ingredients with a delicate sweetness. Their flagship product, "Amande Leaf," features 560 layers of buttery puff pastry topped with sliced almonds and sugar, baked to perfection in a special oven.
